Grace - or more popularly known as Ryuzaki1311 on Youtube - is a 16-year-old British girl who has been studying Japanese on her own since she was 13 (I believe). 13. 13. Wow. She's really sweet and charming so her videos are really nice to watch.

I honestly think she is one of the best vlogs to follow if you're studying Japanese. That she even supplements her fans with subtitles both in English and in Japanese on her videos is a major plus, especially for me who hasn't really gotten listening down pat.

But the thing is, I can't always access YT to watch her videos, which is why I've decided to make a transcript of them here (and this is partially one of the reasons why I made this blog in the first place). I will have to stress, however, that:

I am learning a language that does not like me, so I am trying to find ways to make it easier for me to go about it. This is one of them. I do, however, encourage anyone and everyone to subscribe to Grace's channel and see her in action!

First Order of Business - A Personal Commitment

Because Lord knows I will never get through this without schooling myself into a disciplined regiment, I have to set up a daily checklist - or a template thereof - of the things I'm supposed to accomplish if I really want this to work.

Daily To Do's
[  ] Learn 5 new verbs
[  ] Learn 5 new adjectives
[  ] Learn 5 new nouns
[  ] Study at least 1 chapter from "Japanese Demystified"
[  ] Make at least 5 sentences for each lesson
[  ] Talk to at least 1 Japanese friend in Japanese
[  ] Watch at least 1 Japanese vlog on YT

I just know this isn't going to be easy. I'm afflicted with what they call "ningas kugon" - I never finish anything I start. As if my lack of motivation isn't bad enough... But nevertheless, I have to try my best! OMGHELPME... ><
